Carlson Consulting Group has made a solid commitment to assist these individuals who are not employed today in the areas of Career Counseling, Career Guidance, in summary Career Transition, and getting people on the correct course to start a job search and find a new position.
With twenty-plus years of substantial staffing experience in both the corporate and the placement staffing, Jim and his staff has focused their efforts to assist personnel. The engagement will provide a three-plus hour discussion with displaced workers and discuss the following areas:
- Resume preparation
- How to effectively search for a new opportunity
- The value of networking
- Successfully interviewing
- How to negotiate a job offer
- How to close a job offer and start
In addition to these specific areas, Jim and his team have the knowledge, experience and care for individuals to advise professionals and non-professionals on a series of topics ranging from short-term medical insurance, to the mechanics of working with recruiters, to resume-and-cover-note vs. resume only, to suggestions on internet ad response and
several other areas that concern the displaced worker.
Jim also can present and transfer knowledge in large settings. With several speaking engagements scheduled in the next few months, Jim has groups ranging from 40 individuals up to a group of 150-plus individuals.
For professional services, a minimal charge will be assessed, based on the compensation amount an individual is seeking. Individual sessions, groups of two to four people, or groups of 30 or more people are normal and accepted.
